Art in the AfternoonArt in the Afternoons is hosted by Ramona Soto (2nd and 4th) and Jason Wyman (3rd) and produced by 14 Black Poppies on the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Tuesdays of the month from 4:30pm to 5:30pm at Progressive Grounds Mission Location (2301 Bryant St, SF).
Art in the Afternoons is an art party for parents and their kids. All arts are aligned to CA Department of Education's Visual Arts standards. Activities are structured to ensure opportunities for children of all ages and skills are able to participate. Parents are expected to attend with their children. Art in the Afternoon is donation-based and no one is ever turned away. All donations are used to sustain grassroots arts opportunities throughout the Bay Area and beyond. About the Hosts

Ramona Soto is an arts educator, scientific editor, and communicator who specializes in helping people get in touch with what they really love. She’s interested in many things and usually finds herself immersed in art, words, music, and science. Ramona has seen how effective the arts are for helping people find their true selves and communicate with the outside world. In addition, she has taught short, interactive science lessons as her alter ego, Madame Molecule. It all connects!

Jason Wyman is many things. For this, he is an arts educator with over 20 years experience working with young people of all ages to unlock their creativity and imagination. He also is the co-founder and creative director of 14 Black Poppies. He lives in San Francisco with his beautiful husband and precocious cat.
